| The 3rd congress of the Swiss Proteomics Society was a true success! 238 scientists from 15 different countries gathered in Basel for 3 days. With 14 invited talks, 7 contributed oral presentations, close to 100 poster presentations, 9 company tutorials, and 15 major suppliers of technology present at the commercial exhibition, the congress programme covered all major aspects of proteomics sciences. In parallel to the congress, 25 persons attended a Short Course in Proteomics organised by the SPS. We would like to thank all participants, speakers and sponsors for their valuable contributions and look forward to seeing you again next year in Bern for the 4th SPS Congress.
